THE RECORD

Documented imitation cases.

Impersonation warning

Do not enter passwords, make payments or download apps from an unverified lookalike. These are documented historical examples, not a claim about each domain’s current owner.

Three international 1XBET domain disputes, checked 2026-09-29. They illustrate identity risks, not current market events. The case dates refer to the decisions, not to a current inspection of the domains.

CHECK THE IDENTITY

Look beyond the familiar details.

01

Read the entire address

Similar spelling, branding or search placement is not proof of identity.

02

Follow the evidence to the brand

A documented connection is more useful than a logo or a claim of being “official”.

03

Keep licence and identity separate

A genuine domain does not by itself establish permission to operate in the reviewed jurisdiction.

An operator, a reviewer and an affiliate have different roles

A brand-named domain may publish an independent review, redirect through an affiliate route, display a holding page or host an account service. The name alone cannot identify that role. Read the disclosure and terms, then look for a documented connection to the responsible provider.

Similar branding is a reason to check identity, not automatic proof of fraud. A documented imitation finding needs evidence for both the questioned host and the authenticated identity it claims to represent. The case records retain that boundary.

Treat claimed replacement logins as a separate claim

A redirect or message about reopening does not establish balance migration. For an existing account, preserve the original provider details and transaction records privately. A claimed recovery agent or request to pay a person needs an authenticated relationship to that provider.

Avoid sharing passwords, one-time codes or full identification documents through an unverified route. App identity is another part of the same chain: a familiar icon cannot authenticate a package or its publisher.
